New English Art Club NEAC at the Mall Galleries 2019

I haven't submitted artwork to the New English Art Club for their annual exhibition at the Mall Galleries before.   This year I have entered two paintings which have got through the first (digital) round of judging - they have been 'pre-selected'.

The next step is to take them to London to see if they will be selected in round 2.   If successful, then they may be hung in the gallery.

I must wait and see...

Royal Academy Summer Show 2018

Ooh - I've just delivered two etchings to the Royal Academy in London for round 2 of judging.   Will they get through round 2?   I think about 11,500 were eliminated in Round 1.... I won't know until 26 May...

Looking up at the sky into the darkness

Are you in central London in June?

I am very pleased to find that 2 of my etchings have been selected for the 154th Society of Women Artists Annual Exhibition at the Mall Galleries, The Mall, London. http://www.society-women-artists.org.uk/

The exhibition runs from 5-13 June,
10am - 5pm daily (closes 3pm on 13th June). If you haven't been to the Mall Galleries before, they are just by Admiralty Arch, close to Trafalgar Square.

If you can't make it to the exhibition, my etchings will be on show in the Society's on-line Galleries in June.

'Into the darkness... '   Etching with hand colouring

My wheelbarrow series is linked to an idea of gazing up at the night sky in a summer garden, sipping maybe a long cool lemonade or Pimms, contemplating life, the universe...

A friend of mine told me that it was his favourite way of looking up at the sky - he had difficulties bending his neck so much preferred the wheelbarrow to a chair.
